Lady Gaga 1 Critics Choice Awards

Dopo i Golden Globes dello scorso 7 gennaio, la stagione dei premi è entrata ufficialmente nel vivo e ieri sera il Barker Hangar di Santa Monica si è trasformato nella capitale mondiale dello showbitz accogliendo i Critics’ Choice Awards.

Regine indiscusse della serata sono state Lady Gaga e Glenn Close: in lizza per il premio “Miglior Attrice Protagonista“, la critica non è riuscita a decidere tra le due ed ha quindi proposto un pareggio, grazie al quale la protagonista di “A Star is Born” e quella di “The Wife” hanno battuto colleghe del calibro di Emily Blunt, Toni ColletteOlivia Colman, Melissa McCarthy e Yalitza Aparicio.

“Il mondo ci mette l’una contro l’altra in questa professione. Ma io so che tutte noi donne in questa categoria e tutte noi donne in questa stanza, ci celebriamo a vicenda e siamo orgogliose di essere in questa stanza insieme” ha detto la Close nel suo discorso.

A sbaragliare senza riserve la concorrenza è stato però il film “Roma” del regista messicano Alfonso Cuaron. La pellicola, già premiata ai Golden Globes per la miglior regia e nella categoria miglior film straniero, si è  accaparrato i quattro premi più importanti: “Miglior Film“, “Miglior Film Straniero“, “Miglior Regista” e “Miglior Fotografia“.
